MIGHTYminnow’s process involves discrete project phases with corresponding deliverables. During each phase, the work we present can be collaboratively massaged over two rounds of revisions. Below is an overview of a traditional project roadmap and brief description of each phase. Since each project is unique the project scope is customized to each project’s needs and budget. If you are interested in working with MIGHTYminnow we will create a proposal for your project based on your needs. Get in Touch!
Discovery
Phase I: Discovery + Information Architecture
Together, we kick off the project and finalize our understanding of your goals for the website redesign. We also work with you to understand your content and start planning the architecture of your website.
Wireframe
Phase 2: Wireframing + Content Placement
When we are sure we understand your needs, we create a functional wireframe of your new website. The goal of the wireframe is to determine the architecture and content for the website in an easy to understand way.
Design
Phase 3: Graphic Design
The creative brief will help guide the design phase along with the project goals and the wireframe. We start with designing the homepage before we move on to design the internal page layouts. All designs are presented, reviewed and revised to perfection.
Development
Phase 4: Theming + Development
After the designs have been approved, we apply your lovely new design to the working wireframe we have created using CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, images and additional development as needed.
Testing
Phase 5: Testing
MIGHTYminnow tests the websites we create on a variety of platforms and devices. Mac, PC, Tablets and Phones are all employed. For the desktop, we test in Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Safari.
Acceptance
Phase 6: Acceptance for Launch + Training
We strive to deliver websites that are perfect. This phase is the client’s opportunity to report any final bugs, edits and to finalize acceptance of the new site and its readiness to go live. We also train our clients on how to update and maintain their new website.
