Responsivizing Projects

San Francisco Suicide Prevention

San Francisco Suicide Prevention has one of the most compelling missions, in our opinions, of any nonprofit. Keeping people alive. Their mission involves providing “emotional support, education, assistance and intervention as necessary to all persons in crisis” and we couldn’t be more pleased to support them in this mission. MIGHTYminnow created a new website for SFSP in 2009 using WordPress which was just making its transition from a blogging platform to a full-fledged content management system. We designed and implemented their new site and then we visited them to train their team on maintenance. In 2012, we rebuilt the site to be responsive and easier to maintain, and we did that work pro-bono as a way of giving back. If you support their mission, consider donating to their organization or attending their annual fundraiser which is a comedy show and it is GREAT fun.

San Francisco Suicide Prevention contracted with MIGHTYminnow to design a completely new website for our agency that would actually save lives. We are thrilled with the site Kristin created. not only reflects well of our brand, but its design allows people in deep emotional pain to find helpful information and receive care through our electronic counseling center. The design process was not an easy, especially with 10 non-profit staff pulling Kristin in many directions. But in the end she helped San Francisco Suicide Prevention establish crisis care in the online world and her efforts significantly increased the number of youth and young adult clients we serve.
